Changing nations in the face of COVID-19

“But the word of the Lord (good newS about salvation through Christ) continued to grow and spread (increasing in effectiveness).” Acts 12:24 Amplified

This verse perfectly describes how your faithful prayers and support are enabling nations180 to face the realities of closed borders and travel restrictions due to COVID-19.  The impact of your partnership not only continues to grow and spread in the French-speaking world, in many ways it is increasing in effectiveness as the Lord inspires innovative solutions to circumvent or leverage that which the enemy meant for evil and turns it for His glory!

Here are some highlights of what youR partnership is accomplishing in these pivotal times!

EXPANSION PROGRESSES THROUGHOUT THE FRENCH-SPEAKING WORLD

We’re privileged to lead a growing international task force dedicated to the expansion of RHEMA Bible Training College into every nation of the French-speaking world!  Throughout this pandemic, we continue to meet weekly via zoom and are making great progress in preparation of launching new campuses in French-speaking Africa and increasing our effectiveness in the campuses that exist already in Québec, France, Switzerland & Haiti.

PRODUCTION INCREASES FOR FRENCH ON-LINE RESOURCES

Lockdown provided the perfect opportunity to produce more French-language video resources.  We’re especially excited about the Foundations of Divine Healing series that we’re making available to French speakers across the globe!

RHEMA HAITI TO LAUNCH EIGHT REGIONAL TRAINING CENTERS IN AUGUST

The Lord has given us a plan to continue training RHEMA Haiti’s 300+ students in light of the government imposed limitations on public gatherings.  This contingency plan not only addresses the present COVID-19 challenge but it also provides a way to avoid future suspension of ministry in cases of civil unrest, gang related travel disruptions or severe weather emergencies similar to those we’ve faced in the past.

Next month we will launch eight new regional “break-out” campuses to serve the needs of RHEMA Haiti’s 300+ students. This map shows the location of these future ministry centers and the number of current students assigned to each.

Next month we will launch eight new regional “break-out” campuses to serve the needs of RHEMA Haiti’s 300+ students. This map shows the location of these future ministry centers and the number of current students assigned to each.

To do this, we are launching eight regional mini-centers (breakout campuses) that are strategically located to serve the students and graduates spread across the nation.  RHEMA Haiti alumni who are pastoring in these regions have committed to serve as coordinators, recruit support teams and offer the use of their church facilities.

When government restrictions or other emergencies prohibit assembling at the main campus, students will go to their regional breakout location to receive training and/or pick up class materials.   These new centers will also be used regularly as regional administrative offices as well as for alumni events and continuing education.

Financial AID provided FOR HAITIAN VOLUNTEERS & team members

During this pandemic, Nations180 has distributed emergency funds to our team of 95 volunteers that keep RHEMA Haiti running. Also, due to the closure of the airport in Port-au-Prince, our campus administrators, Andy & Ruth Joseph, have been unable to return to Haiti and had to shelter in place with relatives in Georgia.  Nations180 continues to contribute to their financial needs through this difficult time. They are working hard and in constant communication with our team on the ground in Haiti. They also serve as a vital part of our French-speaking expansion task force

For nearly two years Haiti has suffered under the weight of intermittent shelter in place orders, school closings and economic shut downs due to political unrest and gang related violence.  The recent measures to mitigate COVID-19 have only added to the already serious struggle.  With no government stimulus packages to fall back on, even the most basic needs for sustenance are extremely difficult to acquire.  Since July is projected to be the peak of COVID-19 in Haiti, restrictions remain harsh. Penalties for non compliance are severe including hefty fines, five days imprisonment and 15 days of forced labor upon release.

RHEMA QUÉBEC CONTINUES TRAINING MINISTERS AND MENTORING PASTORS VIA ZOOM

In spite of province-wide lockdown, RHEMA Québec continued live, interactive classes via Zoom! Students did not miss a beat!

Virtual meetings have also been hosted for 21 of RHEMA Québec’s graduates and spouses who currently serve as senior pastors throughout the province.  This valuable time of fellowship, prayer and idea exchange was in addition to the other on-line meetings offered to RHEMA Quebec’s alumni.   ·

THREE WAYS YOU CAN HELP

1. BECOME A 180PARTNER

You can become a nation changer today by committing to pray regularly for this ministry and clicking the button below. Follow the link and set up a recurring monthly gift that will help nations180 continue to transform nations.

2. HELP EQUIP A NEW REGIONAL CAMPUSES IN HAITI

The eight regional breakout campuses being launched next month need to be outfitted with an ensemble of standardized equipment.  Our team on the ground has put together a list of systems that are tailored to the unstable environment in Haiti where daily power outages regularly occur.

  • Solar panels and back up power system

  • Reliable internet - (install fiber optic cable at each of the locations to allow zoom/video sessions in appropriately sized groups.)

·      Sound system - (capable of running independently on back-up battery power)

·      Computer system - (with large monitor for Zoom conferencing & Printer)

Each breakout campus can be equipped for approximately $2,600 USD. Maybe you, your local church or business would like to sponsor one or more of these campuses? To give a gift of any size towards this project, click on the button below and choose “Regional Break-out campuses - Haiti” from the dropdown “fund” menu.

3. HELP REPLACE A VITAL MINISTRY COMPUTER

One of the main computers used for nations180 is a 2010 Macbook Air that has not only travelled hundreds of thousands of miles across many nations but has produced untold hours of work. Always wanting to be good stewards of the resources God has entrusted us with, we have held out on replacing it as long as we could.

This 2010 computer served the ministry well! The time has finally come for it to be replaced!

This 2010 computer served the ministry well! The time has finally come for it to be replaced!

After nearly a decade of faithful service, the machine has finally become obsolete with software and operating system updates now impossible to make.

We are trusting God for $3,000 USD for the necessary computer, software and accessories. To sow a seed toward this project, click the button below and choose “new computer fund” from the drop down “fund” menu.
